1. In order to encourage the sick children in Vietnam to confront the disease, Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation, for the first time, traveled across the sea to reach uu Nghi Viet Duc Hospital, gave toys, pictures, food and other supplies to the pediatric sick children, and cheered them up.
2. Led by hen Jung-Chi (former superintendent of En Chu Kong Hospital) and Chou Chin-Hua (Founder of Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation), Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation delegation, including 29 Taiwan volunteers, paid a visit to Huu Nghi Viet Duc Hospital yesterday afternoon. First, a symposium was organized, and Huang Chih-Peng (Representative of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam) was invited to attend the symposium.
3. According to Chen Jung-Chim, since 1998, En Chu Kong Hospital had initiated the communication and cooperation about medical technology with the Huu Nghi Viet Duc Hospital, and provided internships and training opportunities for Vietnamese medical staff, helping to promote bilateral exchanges and provide more effective and economical medical care.
4. Nguyen Tien Quyet (Superintendent of Huu Nghi Viet Duc Hospital) thought highly of this charitable activity held by Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation, and extended sincere gratitude to Taiwan volunteers.
5. The Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation delegation then visited the Division of Pediatrics of Huu Nghi Viet Duc Hospital, gave toys, pictures, food and other supplies to the pediatric sick children, and cheered them up.
6. Chou Chin-Hua stated that this was the first time he went to Vietnam. This activity encouraged sick children to bravely face the disease, receive treatment and never give up. Only in this way can they get satisfactory therapeutic effect. He also expressed that the poems of Chou Ta-Kuan's I Still Have One Leg could be translated in Vietnamese for publication, and that the profits could be used to assist the sick children in Vietnam.

Tran Thi Giang Huong (Director of the International Cooperation Division, Ministry of Health, Vietnam), on behalf of Nguyen Thi Kim Tiem (Minister of Health), and extended special gratitude to Chou Chin-Hua, Guo Ying-Lan (President of Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation), Chen Jung-Chi (former superintendent of En Chu Kong Hospital), and Chou Chao-Fang (Superintendent of En Chu Kong Hospital). The 29-people delegation sent love to the Huu Nghi Viet Duc Hospital, and cheered all sick children up.
8. Chou Ta-Kuan was born in 1987, and died of rhabdomyosarcoma in 1997 because of rhabdomyosarcoma. During hospitalization, he wrote a host of moving poems in his diary. The most well-known poem is "I still have one leg”, I want to stand on the earth". The pictures and poems were integrated into a book and touched Taiwan.
9. Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation was established in 1997 by Chou Ta-Kuan's parents, Chou Chin-Hua and Guo Ying-Lan with the caring people from different walks of life. In order to complete his unfulfilled wish of "love your life and live it happily", global charitable activities were held.
