2011 Send Love to Europe

1. June 21 - 28 Rotterdam: Chou Shang-Guan (Head of Love Brother Volunteer Group) interviewed Chris Peter (Netherland Animal Savior, winner of the Fervent Global Love of Lives Award) who completed his autobiography. The Foundation visited Peter's wife, children and mother at Peter's, learned about the hardships experienced by Peter, and observed in a detailed manner the daily life of Peter, including getting up, grooming, having meals, interacting with family members and carrying out outdoor activities. Additionally, the Foundation also went to Peter's workplace to get an idea of how he surmounted the physical inconvenience and could carry on promoting zoos. 2. June 30 Netherlands: Guo Ying-Lan (President of Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation) and other two members arrived in the Netherlands to join Chou Shang-Guan and to pay a visit to Chris Peter. 3. 10: 00 - 11: 00, July 4, 2011 Germany, Germany-Taiwan Women's Association. At 14: 00 - 15: 00, members from Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation, accompanied by the staff with Taipeh Vertretung in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, went to the ward for children with cancer in Goethe University Frankfurt Hospital, showed concern for the sick children, gave them gifts, put on musical performance and exchanged with medical staff. The Foundation encouraged the medical staff and patients to beat the disease and overcame adversities with Chou Ta-Kuan's life stories of loving life and bravely fighting against cancer. 4. July 7 Switzerland -Geneva: 14: 00 - 15: 00, the Foundation paid a visit to the departments of leukemia children in University Hospitals Geneva Medical Center, showed concern for the sick children, gave them gifts, put on musical performance and exchanged with medical staff. Also, it encouraged the medical staff and patients to beat the disease and overcame adversities with Chou Ta-Kuan's life stories of loving life and bravely fighting against cancer. At 15: 30-16: 30, the Foundation paid a visit to SIOP (International Society of Paediatric Oncology), actively discussed the exchanges and cooperation between two organizations, and sincerely invited the children with cancer from the two countries to exchange with each other and fulfill their dreams. Besides, it popularized and welcomed all sectors to recommend the candidate winners of the Life Nobel Prize – Fervent Global Love of Lives Award featuring efforts, courage, love and achievements, and jointly promoted the "three goodness action featuring love for life: on good terms with yourself – love your life, on good terms with others – respect others' life, and on good terms with the Earth – defend the life on Earth. 5. July 12 France-Paris: 16: 00 - 17: 00, the Foundation paid a visit to the French Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce, actively popularized and welcomed the candidate winners of the Life Nobel Prize – Fervent Global Love of Lives Award featuring efforts, courage, love and achievements from all sectors in Europe to attend a series of awards and caring charity activities about love of lives, hence spreading out the beauty of Taiwan. 6. July 13: 11: 00 - 12: 00, Make-A-Wish @ France, the two organizations actively discussed the exchanges and cooperation between two organizations, and sincerely invited the children with cancer from the two countries to exchange with each other and fulfill their dreams. Besides, it popularized and welcomed all sectors to recommend the candidate winners of the Life Nobel Prize – Fervent Global Love of Lives Award featuring efforts, courage, love and achievements, and jointly promoted the "three goodness action featuring love for life: on good terms with yourself – love your life, on good terms with others – respect others' life, and on good terms with the Earth – defend the life on Earth.   7. July 16 United Kingdom-London: 13: 30 - 15: 30, Love from Taiwan, Love of Overseas Chinese – Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation Send Love to London Indochinese Centre. Chou Chin-Hua and Guo Ying-Lan shared the warm stories about how Chou Ta-Kuan bravely fought against cancer and loved life, and gave life books by and VCD of Chou Ta-Kuan. Chou Shang-Guan (Head of love Brothers Volunteer Group) and Chou Tien-Guan (Head of the Chou Ta-Kuan Children's Ensemble) played the saxophone and the ocarina respectively to perform such Taiwan folk songs "Ode to the Republic of China" and "Taipei's Sky" for overseas Chinese, spreading the love from Taiwan via music. 8. July 19 Belgium -City of Brussels: 17: 30 - 18: 30, 23 Million of Thanks – Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation Send Love to Belgian monastery and Salute the Sister Madeleine Severens (Forever Taiwan Grandma). Chou Chin-Hua and other participants headed for the grave of Sister Madeleine Severens devoting her life to Taiwan, knelt down and laid flowers before the grave, expressing 23 million of thanks from Taiwan compatriots. Under the arrangement of the Taipei Representative Office in under the EU and Belgium, the Foundation specially sent love to the Belgian monastery. The members of Chou Ta-Kuan Children's Ensemble played such Taiwan folk songs as "Essence of Love", "Amazing Grace", "Can you feel the love Tonight" and "Grateful Heart" with saxophone and ocarina, in order to express the highest respect for the selfless sisters who would be dispatched to different parts of the world including Taiwan and make contribution, and spreading the love of Taiwan via music. 9. July 20 Belgium -City of Brussels: 09: 00-11: 30, Chou Ta-Kuan Foundation and Clown Pepe de Pipo-Attracties held exchanges, actively discussed the exchanges and cooperation between two organizations, and sincerely invited the children with cancer from the two countries to exchange with each other and fulfill their dreams. Besides, it popularized and welcomed all sectors to recommend the candidate winners of the Life Nobel Prize – Fervent Global Love of Lives Award featuring efforts, courage, love and achievements, and jointly promoted the "three goodness action featuring love for life: on good terms with yourself – love your life, on good terms with others – respect others' life, and on good terms with the Earth – defend the life on Earth.
