2018 Send Love to Chengdu, Chongqing, Yiwu, and Shanghai
Event Dates: March 30 to April 6, 2018
Event Locations: Various Golden Ribbon Assistance Centers across Mainland China
Mr. Chou Chin-Hua , Founder of Chou Ta-Kuan Cultural and Educational Foundation mentioned that there are 40,000 new cases of childhood cancer each year, with nearly half of their's families are migrant workers. Unlike Taiwan's health insurance system, which covers partial medical expenses, this situation leaves informed individuals unable to bear witnessing mainland Chinese children with cancer unable to afford chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgical costs, leading them "to face near-certain death at home". As a result, the Chou Ta-Kuan Cultural and Educational Foundation of Taiwan gathers compassion from all sectors of Taiwanese society and diligently sends aid to mainland Chinese children with cancer every year, quietly and perseveringly. Over 21 years, they have brought hope and assistance to more than 20,000 disadvantaged children with cancer, including Sichuan's leukemia dancer Zhang Ruixu, enabling them to live with hope.
