Turn decline into love, challenge limitations
In the writing by Tseng Ying-Chi My Drink of Muscle Dystrophy , his father Tzeng Jin-Shi and mother Hsieh Li-Ling are the greatest bartenders of life, and used love to make the drink of muscle dystrophy for Ying-Chi. We all do not dare take a sip, even the god of death does not dare.
Tseng Ying-Chi and his parents used love to make the drink of muscle dystrophy – it is filled with optimism, thanksgiving, and hope…, it will for sure touch all of our hearts, even the heart of the god of death.
Every person has unlimited possibilities.
Love is the special healing wine of life.
The special healing wine made from love by the parents of Ying-Chi, plus his own sensitivity and optimism, broke the rule that muscle dystrophy patients can only live to be twenty, and achieved the Guinness world's record for muscle dystrophy treatment in the world.
Tseng Ying-Chi was born on January 16, 1984; before he attended elementary school he was found to have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). Ever since the fourth grade of elementary school, Ying-Chi formed a strong steel square with the four corners being him, his father, mother, and wheelchair; 13 years passed quickly. When Ying-Chi was studying in the Kaohsiung University of Applied Science, in order to not rely on his parents, he would take his electronic wheelchair to school every day, and experience the ups and downs of life.
Ying-Chi said with a heart of thanksgiving: “There is nothing that cannot be imagined in the world, and nothing that cannot be achieved. Although my viewpoint is lower when I am looking from a wheelchair, my parents still took me to a height where I could look from above the crowd.” Regardless in his fight against muscle dystrophy, finishing his university education, or living out each day with a positive attitude, Tseng Ying-Chi has done it all.
In his challenge towards the limitations of muscle dystrophy, finishing his university education, or living out each day with a positive attitude, Tseng Ying-Chi has done it all. But the most extraordinary thing is that Ying-Chi created the Taiwan Muscular Dystrophy Association with his father and mother Tzeng Jin-Shi and Hsieh Li-Ling. He stepped out and used personal examples to help others, and opened a road for all patients of muscle dystrophy. Accompanying everyone to face the sun, add a little more warmth and happiness in the world, and less coldness and pain. Ying-Chi is indeed a “muscle dystrophy hero” for his love, challenging the limits, helping others, and living life of hope.
