Painting the dignity of life
      Chang Jia-Ming, female, born in 1991 in Pingtung, graduated from Tung Long Elementary School. She has a younger sister and parents Chang Shu-Long and Li He-Yi.
      She was open-minded, active and friendly to the others. Her paintings in grade two were highly praised by teacher Lien Shu-Cheng, Hong Chin-Chih, Li Kun-Chang, and admitted to the arts class with excellent performance. Her favorite is pottery works focusing on animals.
      Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with serious cerebroma last June, and experienced three big operations, 30 times of electrotherapies and ongoing chemotherapy. Though her disease was not optimistic according to Dr. Huang Li-Tung, an authority of cerebroma of Taipei Veterans General Hospital, she decided to meet the challenge bravely. On January 11, 2002, she was awarded 2002 Fervent Global Love of Lives Medal” at Tung Long Elementary School, and held her first painting exhibition--“dignity of life--A cancer-fighting angel Chang Jia-Ming.
