Devoting to public interest and meeting the challenges
      Chen Chian, male, born in 1949 in Changhua, a former detective of Taichung Criminal Investigation Bureau. He also developed an explosion-proof device for the sake of police staff and general public. In the spare time, he devoted himself to the public interest--donated blood 224 times, climbed up Baiyue Mount, and initiated “Marathon sports”. He was also elected as a national goodwill representative and awarded a police medal.
      As everybody says: Chen Chian is a founder of Taichung Blood Donation Center. Since the founding of this Center, Chen Chian worked hard and encouraged his friends and relatives to give a helping hand with love.
      Furthermore, Chen Chian insisted on 10km running everyday in order to increase the blood donation frequency and improve the quality. He once attended 3 100km running competitions, and 36 50km Taipei International Marathon competitions, etc, during which he had an experience from excitement at the beginning to hardships and to successful pleasure.
      Chen Chian believed that sense of responsibility and honor--two pillars in the life, are invaluable. And, he hoped that 80,000 police staff could search for a suitable path to public interest and career, and live a life of dignity and love.
