Born in Russia in 1977, artist Yu Tatiana, formerly known as Tatiana Shmakova, has two precious sons with her artistic genes: one in college and one in primary school.
    16 years ago, after meeting her husband online, she came to Pingtung from Russia. Yu Tatiana is also the creator of Russian wire winding art. She began to study painting and art from junior high school and majored in children's psychology in college. Yu Tatiana believes that painting and art can help people and patterns can change people's psychology, so she especially likes painting. At the same time, she also make herself an example, lead all new residents to going out, teach them Russian style glass bead string as an exchange activity, help paint the walls of schools to promote the friendly and good neighbors, and help vulnerable children draw their hope.
    Yu Tatiana grew up in Siberia where the weather is freezing cold. After she married to Taiwanese, she was especially grateful to her husband Yu Shizhong and his family, as well as all the friends, who helped her quickly integrate into Taiwan's local customs with love; only the burning sun and humid climate have made her suffered, and even her cornea ulcerated, making her completely blind.
    In the face of the sudden blindness, in addition to the care and company of her families of Taiwan and Russia, her own orthodox faith has also made her deeply reflect, listen to the inside world, and take the first step of aspiring to the treatment of patients with neuroart. With miraculous sharp ears and other particularly sensitive senses to make up for the defect of almost total blindness in both eyes, this period when she stayed in the hospital has improved her neuroart treatment levels.
    Yu Tatiana will always be grateful to the caring people at home and abroad who donated her cornea, and also to the team of Kaohsiung Medical University Chung-Ho Memorial Hospital. After the success of the second cornea transplantation, she has restored her light in this bright world, which, in addition to illuminating herself, would also shine on others.
    Overcoming complete blindness, Yu Tatiana becomes more active in children's painting and aluminum wire and metal art teaching. In order to improve neuroart therapy and benefit more patients, Yu Tatiana returns to Russia to further study painting psychology and art therapy.

Art enlightenment from her police dad
    Yu Tatiana was born in an ordinary family in Amursk, a small town in the east of Russia.
    Her mother is a construction worker and her father is a policeman. Because of her mother's health condition, Yu Tatiana is the only child in the family.
    Yu Tatiana's father is quite artistic and loves nature. He often used wood to make sculptures and took her for a walk in nature.
    Yu Tatiana had a quiet personality since childhood. Most of what she saw and heard in life was inspired and taught by her father. In her childhood, Yu Tatiana loved to try all kinds of things. She learned dancing and Karate. At the age of 13, Yu Tatiana went to the children's art school in the small town and was successfully admitted.
    She went to regular school in the morning and went to art school in the afternoon, which lasted for four years.
    Yu Tatiana especially likes to study art in this school. The school not only have great teachers, but also makes Yu Tatiana feel creative and bring a lot of potential to her life.
    After graduating from junior high school, Yu Tatiana went to a skill school and continued to study art for three years.
    This skill school has changed Yu Tatiana's life. The teachers in the school are very nice. They helped Yu Tatiana develop her potential. Gradually, Yu Tatiana became one of the excellent students in the school.   
    Yu Tatiana graduated with the highest grades. Therefore, she also won a full scholarship to enter the University.
    Yu Tatiana chose child psychology, pedagogy and speech therapy as her majors.
    In her freshman year, Yu Tatiana's father died, and her mother carried the economic burden of the family and supported her to continue studying. One year after graduation, Yu Tatiana worked in the University for a short time. Finally, she decided to return to her hometown and teach in a skills school.
Network Romance
    With the rise of Internet technology, Yu Tatiana met YU, SHIH-CHUNG, now her husband in Taiwan, on the Internet. At that time, Yu Tatiana knew nothing about Taiwan.
In a cool October, YU, SHIH-CHUNG invited Yu Tatiana to Taiwan. She fell in love with this island since he set foot on it. Compared with the ice and snow in Russia, Taiwan not only has a comfortable and warm climate, but also has a strong humanitic charm.
    While in Taiwan, Yu Tatiana and her then boyfriend YU, SHIH-CHUNG visited the beautiful scenery of Taiwan. In this month, YU, SHIH-CHUNG proposed to Yu Tatiana, and she readily said yes.
    Soon, Yu Tatiana returned to Russia to pack her luggage, say goodbye to her family and prepare relevant documents, then came to settle in Taiwan. Taiwan has become Yu Tatiana's new hometown. She thinks  she is lucky to meet a good husband and a kind new family.
    Yu Tatiana's husband, YU, SHIH-CHUNG, was born in a big family and has many siblings. Yu Tatiana, who just got married in Taiwan, immediately had a warm big family, and became a housewife.
The integration of Taiwan and Russian art takes root and thrives
    Yu Tatiana took advantage of her artistic talent to set up art courses.
    At first, only a few children came to learn from her. Yu Tatiana taught the children the ways of learning in Russia.
    Gradually, she has more students, but Yu Tatiana always maintains a small class size to avoid sacrificing the quality of education.
    Yu Tatiana taught for many years. Some students began to study art with her from the kindergarten and continued to come for many years.
    After living in Taiwan for many years, Yu Tatiana also met many female friends who married Taiwanese as she did. They often get together to support each other.
    The convenience of obtaining materials in Taiwan is easier for Yu Tatiana, who once wanted to have unique style jewelry.
    Yu Tatiana found an art line in DIY supplies store, so she began to try to make style jewelry.
    At first, Yu Tatiana made handmade jewelry because she liked it. Through continuous efforts, Yu Tatiana's skills became better, and many people began to appreciate her works.
    There is a foreign market in Pingtung. Foreigners living in Pingtung can display their skills, hobbies, or things they like to do in this market.
    Yu Tatiana was invited to the market. She displayed her handicrafts at the booth. Yu Tatiana likes to share her favorite jewelry with others through the market. Sometimes she will bake some Russian desserts for visitors.
    In 2017, the National Palace Museum cooperated with Pingtung County in handling rural activities and held an educational exhibition of "Castiglione Art Tour" at the gallery on the first floor of Pingtung cultural office.
    At that time, the organizer was looking for foreign artists living in Taiwan. It was fate for Yu Tatiana to be selected as the Russian daughter-in-law of Taiwan living in Pingtung.
    Yu Tatiana has been married in Pingtung, Taiwan for more than ten years. The Russian life and art in her have been intertwined and integrated with Taiwan culture and life.
    At that time, Yu Tatiana created Buddhist paintings and participated in the invitation exhibition.
    Yu Tatiana also participate in many art projects, such as Hakka culture wall in Linluo Township, Pingtung, Taiwan, English wall of cram school and cartoon illustration in kindergarten.
    During this period, Yu Tatiana also obtained cultural sharing projects from the Pingtung government. Yu Tatiana and my friends went to many different communities to introduce her hometown Russia and its culture.
    Sometimes, Yu Tatiana will make some desserts to share with everyone, and also teach them DIY aluminum wire handicrafts.
    With the development and maturity of her hobbies, Yu Tatiana has also been invited to the schools to teach courses for students. Each experience is an affirmation for her.
Overcome eye sickness
    Here was a time when Yu Tatiana's eyes were somehow infected with bacteria.
    During that time, she suffered from a lot of pain, and she lost all her hope and everything.
    Because of the disease, Yu Tatiana has no desire or interest for everything around her. But with the pain afflicting her vision, Yu Tatiana's other sensory feelings are magnified infinitely in an instant!
    Yu Tatiana became extremely sensitive to some small sounds and gentle touches.
    Yu Tatiana spent a month and a half in a hospital in Kaohsiung for treatment. In addition to the full care of doctors and nurses, many of Yu Tatiana's friends also came to the hospital to visit, hoping to encourage her to regain her spiritual vitality!
    Yu Tatiana had two corneal transplants for her eyes. This illness also made she understand: "when a person doesn't pay too much attention to the troubles of the world and starts to listen to the inner sound, he can see the heart better"!
    During her illness, Yu Tatiana felt her husband YU, SHIH-CHUNG's love for her, and infinite warm care from her relatives and friends. Yu Tatiana knew that God still loved her, so she regained confidence and began to see the world with love again.
    When she was ill, Yu Tatiana thought the pain was a kind of torture, but when she learned the meaning of love, she turned to gratitude for all these experiences. Because of this experience, she slowed down the pace of life and began to feel all the people and things around her life with more cares.
    For Yu Tatiana, suffering is a blessing with makeup. With enriched heart, problems can be solved easily.
    In order to thank the medical staff who helped her during this difficult time, Yu Tatiana drew a picture of life from her experience in the process.
    Yu Tatiana wanted to said to everyone: "you don't need to look at the world with your eyes all the time. Occasionally you should close your eyes and look at things with your heart and your inner senses."
    Yu Tatiana needs enough time to recover after her illness. Therefore, she can only stay at home and can't work for a long time. During this time, she has a lot of time to think about everything in life.
    Yu Tatiana began to contact with her old friends, from which she also got a lot of information that she hadn't noticed or didn't know before. She knew that God always looked after her and guided her on a right path.
Promoting the art of neurology
    Under the guidance of a friend, Yu Tatiana began to contact Reiki therapy, which greatly cured her pain.
    Since then, Yu Tatiana fell in love with this therapy, and decided to learn it by herself.
    Another friend share many resources to Yu Tatiana as well as all kind of interesting things. One day Yu Tatiana asked about the website about self-growth and she saw an interesting picture, which deeply attracted her. This picture created the impression of miracle, balance and peace.
    It lingered in Yu Tatiana's mind for so long, so Yu Tatiana kept searching for relevant information on the Internet, and finally she found that this was the art of neurology. Yu Tatiana is quite unfamiliar to this art field, but she has a force in her heart, which she thinks is very important.
    This neurology art course is an online course in Russia. Yu Tatiana asked her mother in the hometown to help her buying the course.
    Yu Tatiana, who has a lot of interest in it, falls in love with this familiar and unfamiliar course. Since then, she has been painting crazily.

    In the midsummer of 2019, Yu Tatiana flew to St. Petersburg, Russia to attend the neurology art conference. During the 10-day meeting, Yu Tatiana learned a lot more than she thought. Among them, she also met a lot of great people who have found hope because of the art of Neurology.
    Yu Tatiana even met Pavel Piskarev, the creator of the art of neurology.
    Pavel is an interesting and great man who personally teaches and shares his creations.
    Yu Tatiana painted a tellurion at the neurology art conference. The wonderful thing was that after painting, Yu Tatiana's dream began to come true. She started to travel from Russia to Taiwan and then to South Korea.
    Subsequently, Yu Tatiana was invited to participate in the 2nd Asian Intersex People Forum held in South Korea and served as a lecturer in self-care courses.

    One day, Yu Tatiana felt like an energy flow going through her body and she felt she had to draw. So she drew a picture of a tree.

    Gradually, more and more students asked for more courses to let more people to learn about it. Therefore, Yu Tatiana's neurology art course soon started again. Students who continued to learn painting can help relieve pressure and clean their hearts through neurology art.
Become famous by promoting campus murals
    Five years ago, Yu Tatiana was invited to paint murals at Datong elementary school in Pingtung. The principal at that time hoped that the school would be full of happiness and colorful. Therefore, Yu Tatiana painted a series of pictures suitable for children; Five years later, the school went back to her again, hoping to regain vitality for the murals that have been exposed to wind and rain in such a long time.
    The murals were partially damaged due to the weather, and the color gradually faded. In addition to repairing the pictures, Yu Tatiana also added new pictures to the school.
    While painting at school, Yu Tatiana became famous gradually, and newspaper reporters came to the school to interview her.
    At the age of 44, Yu Tatiana now is still full of enthusiasm and vitality. She tries her best to live the life to the fullest. At the same time, she helps people through her favorite art. Yu Tatiana believes that the art, creativity and healing of color can bring energy of hope, through painting tools, everyone can draw their own happy world.
    "I am a happy person. I have everything I want in life. More importantly, I find what I like to do and can help others," Yu said.
