Live with multiple disorders and multiple talents
    Chuang, Hsiao-Ching, born in Taichung in 1994, suffered from multiple disorders due to congenital metabolic abnormalities in infancy, including insufficient intelligence, hearing impairment, weak squint eyes, and vague speech.
    Under the patient tutelage of her mother, Lo, Pi-Hui, who is a maths teacher, she had to repeat the exercises more than a hundred times, whether it was for morning therapy, rehabilitation, literacy or numeracy, and developed the courage to persevere against difficulties. She started kneading pottery from Primary 4, and her training in small muscle development has helped her to develop her skills in baking and kneading paper clay in the future. With her pure heart and images of childhood, she reveals her passion for life in her brightly coloured works that full of the smell of sunshine and colorful display of enthusiasm for life.
    Lo, Pi-Hui, the mother, said: "Life is priceless. As parents, we have no right to be pessimistic and give up our children." She admitted the pressure of being the parents of disabled children, but she also insisted that the children should grow up bathing in love and care. She retired early after Hsiao-Ching graduated from high school, starting the "parent-child learning" program to learn to make bread, paper clay, oil painting, and patchwork together. In the process of teaching and learning, she realized her daughter's artistic potential, which wiped away the tears and pain while the taciturn father, like a big tree supporting his wife and daughter, made picture frames and paper clay clocks for Hsiao-Ching's works with superb woodworking skills, creating a joint creation exhibition of "Endless Love" parent-child trio.
    The paper clay picture book of the guide dog "Hsiaotsou is looking for a job" published in June 2019 is the turning point of Chuang, Hsiao-Ching's breakthrough in paper clay creation. Now she has changed her version with her own oil painting - into a patchwork or paper clay creation, constantly overcoming the obstacles of one level after another, and walking on the road of art without limits in life.
    Therefore, although Chuang, Hsiao-Ching suffers from multiple disorders, she grew up with the love and encouragement of her family, turned multiple disorders into her talents, and developed interests in baking, painting, decoupage, patchwork and other art fields. So far, she has set up Hsiao-Ching Loves to Bake, participated in 40 joint exhibitions, and constantly actively learned new things, enriched her life with art, and moved towards the art field. She is eager to have her own cultural and creative workshop, and be able to help others while supporting herself to live with unlimited possibilities. She is worthy of being a "Multi-talented Angel with Multiple Disorders"
Congenital defects can be remedied by diligence
    Chuang, Hsiao-Ching was born in Taichung in 1994. Her antenatal examination and newborn screening were normal. But three or four months later after she was born, her family began to feel something wrong. Her tension was exotonic and her development was slow. After examination, it was found that her metabolism was abnormal, but the real cause was still not found. From the age of eight months, he began a series of examinations and various early treatments and rehabilitation, and was still learning to walk and babble even towards the age of two.
    Chuang, Hsiao-Ching's weak eye strabismus, hearing loss and lack of intelligence have affected her learning development. The road to recovery is a long one, and there are no immediate results. How can he raise his multiply handicapped daughter? The words of Hsiao-Ching's father still ring true: "Don't think about what the future holds for her. See what we can hold for here right now".
    Early treatment is very important for Chuang, Hsiao-Ching, who is slow to develop. For more continuous stimulation, they add rehabilitation equipment such as ramps, balance beams and other facilities at home for weekly physical therapy, functional therapy and language therapy. And let her brother play with her whenever he has time, integrate rehabilitation into daily games, and often take her to walk and swim to stimulate her muscle development.
    Chuang, Hsiao-Ching is also very eager to learn. Seeing that her brother has talent classes, she also requires to attend classes such as painting and piano, but she can't bend her fingers to play the piano because of the strong external tension of her muscles. In order to stimulate the development of small muscles, she chose the clay and has been playing with it for more than ten years, laying a good foundation for her to make bread and knead paper clay in the future.
Wu Pao-chun, to do everything for my daughter
    During her schooling, Chuang, Hsiao-Ching was lucky enough to meet many good teachers and friends. She studied sign language in Primary 1 and 2 in the Enlightening class, and then moved to the regular class. Her diligent attitude towards learning has been well received by her teachers and classmates.
    More luckily, Chuang,Hsiao-Ching met teacher Shumin in Yuanlin Agro-industrial Comprehensive Vocational Class, who carefully accompanied and educated them and allowed her challenge the almost mission impossible of baking certificate for Grade C in the second year of senior high school. For people with intellectual disabilities, this license is so valuable. After Chuang,Hsiao-Ching's repetitious exercise and continuous practical practice, she successfully obtained the license, inspiring both herself and all her classmates.
    Graduated, is it time for employment? Or should her go to college? Chuang,Hsiao-Ching could not find a suitable job in a bakery because of her slow reaction and action. However, she likes to make bread and share with friends. When people praise her for making good bread, her face is always lit up by a most happy and confident smile.
    Therefore, her mother Lo, Pi-Hui retired early and took Chuang,Hsiao-Ching to study together. The mother and daughter advanced their research on baking and paper clay creation, and transformed their home into a baking studio. "Hsiao-Ching Loves To Bake" officially opened in 2013.
    Chuang, Hsiao-Ching, who has a strong sense of responsibility, regards making bread as her career. She can handle everything from orders made on Facebook to delivery notes. When making bread, she will remind her parents with her conscientious attitude and perseverance without fear of hard work, which is admirable. She even boasts that she hopes to make bread as powerful as Wu Paochun in the future.
    Chuang's bread was also sold for charity at the National Yuanlin High School and Changhua County Taiping Primary School garden parties, with all proceeds going to the school as a benevolence fund.
    Lo, Pi-Hui, her mother, said, "It is difficult for outsiders to know the hardships of accompanying Hsiao-Ching along the way, but she has become the biggest topic in my life. It not only makes me stronger as a mother, but also enriches my inner life. We let art" heal "each other because we learned together."
Call me No.1, giving back as thanks
    "Hsiao-Ching, how many grams is this dough?" The mothers of the handicapped launched a monthly "respite service" in Hsiao-Ching Loves To Bake Studio. Hsiao-Ching Loves To Bake, who has a Grade C baking license, was the teacher here, call me No.1. In the fermentation of the dough, they all reduced their pressure of being long-term caregivers and learned another skill.
    The caregivers and companions of the disabled are mostly mothers. In the process of raising children, they not only have to bear the pressure of raising disabled children at home, but also have to bear the negative comments of the outside world, which make them very stressful physically and mentally. Chuang, Hsiao-Ching was very happy to have the opportunity to teach those aunts how to make bread to relieve pressure, and she also got greater recognition in teaching.
    Chuang, Hsiao-Ching, a dog girl in the Chinese zodiac, has also been paying attention to guide dogs for a long time because her aunt's family is a foster home for guide dogs. In the Year of the Dog, Chuang, Hsiao-Ching made a guide dog picture book with her own expertise in paper clay, which is also the turning point for her in paper clay creation. She keeps learning actively, enriches her life with art, and makes constant progress in the field of art. She is eager to have her own cultural and creative workshop to help others on her own.
